Every item that enters an SDL warehouse follows a strict, documented process. Here's exactly what happens from the moment your goods arrive to the moment they ship out.
Your freight arrives at the SDL facility. Our receiving team unloads, counts, and inspects every item against your packing list. Discrepancies are flagged and reported to you within 2 hours of receipt.
Each item is scanned, assigned a unique location code, and placed in your dedicated storage bay. Your inventory portal updates in real time the moment items are put away — typically within 4 hours of receipt.
Orders flow into SDL via your preferred method — direct integration, EDI, CSV upload, or manual entry through the portal. Our system validates every order against live stock levels before releasing it to the floor.
Our warehouse team picks items to order, packs them securely using your branding or standard SDL packaging, applies shipping labels, and stages for dispatch. Orders received before 2 PM ship the same day.
Packed orders are handed directly to SDL's transport network — ground, air, or rail depending on your service level. A tracking number is generated instantly and sent to you and your recipient. Inventory updates in real time.
